Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

At an anand karaj Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is the most important aspect of the marriage, therefore I want maharaj ji to look beautiful for the ceremony. I don't want to go tacky and try and match the rumala sahib to my outfit. I think cream is very simple and saintly. Also decorating maharaj ji with pink and white flowers like those beautiful flower arrangements you see at church weddings. with pink rose petals scatterd (the fake ones because i find the real ones go brown quickly and make a mess). and either fairy lights of flower garlands hanging.

The Wedding Outfit (the most important thing)

This is exactly the type of neckline and arms i want for my outfit, i adore this outfit! especially since i am not wearing any jewellery this will overcompensate.

I really like the dangling jewels at the end of the dupatta, definatley want this on my outfit. i think the shade of pink is also very classy.

This lengha is more peachy pink, which is another beautiful shade the dubka is more metalic than silver which gives it more of an edge. I also like the layerd look at the bottom, perfect for a sharara.

This doesn't really say bride to me, more like a guests outfit however i like the shade hmm

This pink lengha seems to be more of the typical types of kadaee found on indian bridal outfits its nice but the kadaee needs more oompff!!

WOW! i love this sharara the shade of tea pink is spot on, however the kadaee seems abit old and i don't like the frills at the end of the dupata however i would love this in a more modern design.

i want to go for a very flowy look with alot of pearl and dabka kadaee, I also do not want a taky pink but a elegant colour with maybe darker accents. I love Aish's lengha i think this is the perfect colour and embroidary, I love the material of the sharara below it looks amazing.

I have the about the colour very carefully originally i wanted to wear maroon, however i think that is a very typical indian bride colour. As the wedding will most likely take place in the summer i think a light colour would be more appropriate. I think pink would be an ideal colour for myself as i have always gotten compliments when wear baby pink.

Pink Wedding!

These mini candles on the mirror are such a romantic touch

mirror mirror on the wall whose the fairest of them? i am i am lol

Very pretty alternative to a handbag, im sure i saw someone who had a pomander at their wedding and it looked really pretty.

The jewels on the bouqet are a beautiful touch!

These flowers would look really amazing to gift the grooms family for the kurmai rasam with a matching gift box of sweets and fruit basket

I really love the shade of pink in this bouqet and the baby's breath accent just does it for me!

The mixture of different roses and peonies is really pretty, I adore flowers so choosing the flowers for my bouqet will be such a difficult decision.

Theres something about flowers and candles combined that brings a certain level of class to a wedding. These are the two things that are an essential.

The combination of different vases and pink flowers looks amazing!!!

Engagement Decor Ideas Blue and White Theme

This is an alternative to the simple table setting and looks more like a bouqet

Rather than have a cake for the engagement i think cupcakes is a nice alternative. its less formal and everyone can easily pick a cupcake up and take it away with them. I like the blue icing and the white chocolate hearts is a great way to make it more attractive and festive.

I deffinatley want to use hydreangeas if i go with the blue theme, i think they are simply beautiful especially with the blue.

Rather than give money on its own i think its a nice touch to put the money in a shagun envelope one for the bride and one for the groom by the girls parents, going ahead with the blue theme this is an amazing envelope with beautiful jewels.

I really like the idea of putting blue sweets on the table, especially with the gergous blue candles and vases. the blue table cloth is also nice.

The Initial Idea for the

I am usually not a fan of confetti as i think it looks very tacky. but this photo has converted me i think it looks simple yet elegant.

The main reason for the sikh engagement is the shagun so i think rather than just handing over the money it would be nice to give it in a pretty shagun envelope

So my initial thinking about the engagement ceremony is either a theme of blue or yellow. Im going to start off by exploring the yellow theme. As the engagement is going to take place at my house the decoration needs to be one colour and in-exspensive.

I really like the candles and lanterns, these could be placed on the table for when the 'mundai wale' (grooms family) come.

Found these cute pom poms on the Martha Stewart Weddings website, apparently very easy to create yourself using tissue paper (we'll see about that!!!), I think this is a more sofisticated way of using tissue paper to make decoration, they would look beautiful on the engagement.
